Her Roots
Wanda grew up in a large family, as one of 10 children, living in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Colorado. She considers Loveland, Colorado as her ‘hometown’ as that is where she spent most of her growing years. She has been a resident of Eau Claire, WI since 1980 when she raised her daughter and son. She now gleams with joy when she speaks of her three adorable little grandchildren, her abundance of blessings for sure.
Hidden Talents
Wanda has a hobby that she speaks rarely of, she’s a talented professional cake decorator. She started baking and decorating cakes at only 14 years of age. Her cake design interests arose when she would watch a family friend decorate a wedding cake, birthday cakes, and novelty cakes.
Determined to make tasty, beautiful cakes with flowers and graceful borders, she spent hours visualizing in her mind just how to create each delicate flower, each leaf, every border, every figure, and where to place it on the cake so when she actually worked the decorator's bag filled with icing, she could almost do it perfectly.
After all, she had made it hundred times over already in her mind. She has baked and decorated hundreds of cakes over the years, a hobby and stress-reliever for her.
